Our Preacher

Nathan Franson currently serves as pulpit minister for the Mariposa Avenue church of Christ in Citrus Heights, California. He is a graduate of the Memphis School of Preaching. Nathan grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, having spent his first 20 years in the LDS Church before studying his way out of it. He has taught much about the errors of the Mormon faith and has authored a book titled Breaking the Chains, an autobiography of why he left the Mormon Church.  He conducts a seminar titled, What to Know When Talking to a Mormon. He also manages Mormon Study Media  www.mormonstudy.net) and has released numerous videos. Nathan has spoken at gospel meetings, lectureships, and has appeared on various television programs. He has written numerous articles as well as a tract. He has served as an instructor for the Florida School of Preaching and Bear Valley Bible Institute of New Zealand. His mission work includes New Zealand, South Africa, and Russia. Prior to preaching he lived  in southern California where he worked as a Special Makeup Effects artist for film, television, and stage. Nathan lives in Antelope, CA with his wife, Katy and son, Micah. They all are active in Taekwondo. His hobbies include collecting hockey pucks, studying world history, photography, and piloting his drone. He enjoys most sports (especially hockey), museums, hiking, fishing, and anything Lord of the Rings.
